Sacramento City College investigates threat, sex crime on campus

SACRAMENTO, CA - Sacramento City College police have a good lead on the culprits in a Feb. 3 incident in which a student claimed she was held against her will and fondled on campus, says a college spokeswoman.

According to spokeswoman Amanda Davis, the student said she was leaving a class on the first floor of Rodda Hall South about 7:20 last Thursday evening when two men blocked her for two or three minutes at knife-point with a folded pocket knife.

The victim reported one of the men touched her breasts then said, "Courtesy of G-Parkway, bitch. We are watching you."

One of the attackers was described as Hispanic, 19 to 21 years old, with a husky build. He wore a white short-sleeve shirt, dark blue jeans, and a red baseball cap with the letter "C" on it.

Greenspan's extraordinary french lemon cream tart

Greenspan's extraordinary french lemon cream tart

For those unfamiliar, Dorie Greenspan is one of the best cookbook author's out there. This recipe comes from her book, Baking: From My Home to Yours . Therefore, I can't really give you the recipe, only tell you to buy the book. I've been making several of the recipes and they are all high quality desserts. This one a great because it can be broken down into parts, I did the lemon filling one day and the crust a few days later.

Here you can see me with the lemon mixture over a steaming pot of water. What is interesting about her version is that you cook the lemon egg mixture first up to 180 degrees. Then you transfer it to a blender, wait for it to cool to 140 degrees, and then blend it with butter to make it light and creamy. I did have a problem with reaching 180 degrees.

Asian-American lawmakers call for boycott of Limbaugh's sponsors

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Rush Limbaugh's imitation of the Chinese language has stirred a backlash among Asian-American lawmakers at the state and federal level.

California state Sen. Leland Yee, a Democrat from San Francisco, is leading a fight in demanding an apology from Limbaugh for what he and others view as racist and derogatory remarks against the Chinese people.

In recent days, the state lawmaker has rallied civil rights groups in a boycott of companies like Pro Flowers, Sleep Train and Domino's Pizza that advertise on Limbaugh's talk show.

During a Jan. 19 program, Limbaugh said there was no translation of President Hu Jintao's speech during a visit to the White House.

He launched into a 20-second-long imitation of the Chinese leader's dialect.

Shortly after condemning Limbaugh's remarks, Yee says he received racist death threats to his San Francisco and Sacramento offices.
