Sacramento Kings and Intel's Fourth Annual “Intel/Kings Engineering Challenge”

Sacramento Kings and Intel's Fourth Annual “Intel/Kings Engineering Challenge”

The Sacramento Kings and Intel teamed up to host the fourth annual “Intel/Kings Engineering Challenge.” The previous three challenges pitted multiple local high schools against each other to use their imaginations to create unique entertainment devices for the Kings mascot Slamson. This year’s challenge tests local high school students from Sacramento School of Engineering & Sciences and tasks them with creating an elaborate T-shirt cannon.

“Intel is all about science and engineering. When we decided to take a new spin on the Intel/Kings Engineering Challenge, we knew we needed to find a great teacher at a great school to make things work,” said Leroy Tripette, External Affairs Manager at Intel Corporation. “We found Drew Kennedy at Sacramento School of Engineering & Sciences.”

Kennedy, News10’s Teacher of the Month for September 2010, is no stranger to the Intel/Kings Engineering Challenge.
