Sacramento police search for serial flasher

SACRAMENTO, CA - Sacramento detectives believe the same person is behind numerous instances of indecent exposure reported in the last year and a half.

The incidents have taken place in the Land Park and Pocket areas and began in October 2011.

According to the police reports, the flasher has been been described as a light-skinned Hispanic or Asian young man, 18 to 20 years old. He is 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs 180 to 200 pounds. His hair is dark and worn short and he has thick eyebrows. Twice witnesses reported he carried a backpack and he either flees on foot or on a bicycle.

Sometimes the young man tries to make small talk before he exposes his genitals and/or makes vulgar comments.

Following are the streets and times the individual has approached women who are either walking or jogging alone, usually in the early morning or early evening:

- 700 block of Clipper Way, Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, 7 a.m

- 6200 block of Riverside Boulevard, Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, 4 p.m

- Gloria Drive/43rd Avenue, Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, 6:45 p.m

- Gloria Drive/Interstate 5, Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, 5:30 p.m.

- South Land Park Drive/Windbridge Drive, Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, 5:45 a.m

- Royal Garden Avenue/Havenside Drive, Thursday, April 25, 2013, 6:42 a.m

- 7300 block of Gloria Drive, Thursday, April 25, 2013, 8:45 p.m.
