Sunflower Market to open in Land Park in 2012

Sunflower Farmers Market, the full-service grocer offering high-quality natural and organic products at low prices, has officially announced it will open a new store in in Land Park  in early 2012.

The new Sunflower Farmers Market will take over the long-vacant 20,436 square foot building in Land Park Center, located at Land Park Drive and Sutterville Road. Just south of downtown Sacramento and the Sacramento Zoo, Land Park Center also houses Parkside Pharmacy and the well-known Sacramento La Bou Bakery. The building that Sunflower will inhabit, at 440 Del Rio Road, will be significantly upgraded before the grocer moves in.

Sunflower’s CEO, Chris Sherrell, acknowledges that the grocer’s expansion into California is on the fast track. “We feel very comfortable with our expansion into Northern California, as Sunflower’s array of natural and organic products is an ideal complement to the healthy lifestyles so evident in the area,” said Sherrell.

Pet owners get financial break

Sacramento and Yolo County pet owners can now apply to have their pets spayed or neutered for just $20 per dog and $15 per cat as part of “Spay Day Sacramento” on March 6.  This is a savings of 90 percent or more on this routine, but important veterinary procedure.  Spaying or neutering dogs and cats leads to better health and improved behavior and reduces the number of animals entering area shelters.

Qualifying pet owners must be either Sacramento or Yolo County residents and have an annual household income of $35,000 or less.  There is a 2 animal (dog and/or cat) limit per household.  Proof of income will be required.

I tried and tried but could not for the life of me remember what my third cheat was. Had I counted the two pieces of my skirt suit? Unlikely. So I changed it to "twice" and linked both cheats I could remember. But the third cheat just would not get out of my mind. Had I just imagined it?
